🔹 1. What is Rebirth: Shadows Over Cormyr?

Rebirth is a full Total Conversion (TC) mod for Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition set in the kingdom of Cormyr. It introduces a completely new storyline, characters, areas, and challenges within the Forgotten Realms.

🔹 2. How do I install the mod?

We'll let you know as soon as it is released. We are not there yet!

🔹 3. Is the mod voice-acted?

Currently, no. There are no big plans for voice acting due to costs.

🔹 4. How long is the campaign?

Depending on your playstyle:

• Main story: ~15–20 hours

• Side content: up to 30+ hours

• Baldur's Gate 1 style wandering through the Realms, up to you to explore as much as you like

🔹 5. What level do I start at?

You start at Level 1, but the leveling curve is adjusted to fit the new world and encounters. Expect a gradual increase through story chapters.

🔹 6. Can I import my BG2 character or save?

No. This is a standalone experience, player starting at Level 1. You must start a new character created specifically for this mod’s world and mechanics.

🔹 7. Is it compatible with other mods?

The mod is a total conversion, meaning it replaces the base game. It is not compatible with most other mods unless explicitly stated. Avoid installing it alongside quest mods, NPC mods, or rule overhauls.

🔹 8. Is this another Chapter in the Bhaalspawn Saga?

No. But it's best to let you find yourself once it's released. You could call it a spin-off.

🔹 9. What is this game closer to? 

The idea is to have a game in the spirit of Baldur's Gate 1, containing a fully explorable countryside and lots of opportunity to interact outside the main plot. So, expect lots of wilderness encounters, a rich plot, and a fully explorable Suzail with cobbled streets that reek of Baldur's Gate nostalgia.

🔹 10. What about NPCs? Romances?

This is the stuff of Baldur's Gate 2. There will be lots of NPCs available, but no romances or NPC - related quests, as the aim is to recreate the BG1 feel.

🔹 11. What about Dragons? Will there be Dragons...?

Yes!

🔹 12. What about Purple Dragon...?

...Knights! The story will feature lots of Cormyrian role, especially in regards to Purple Dragon Knights.

🔹 13. When will it be released?

Probably sometime during Q4 of 2025. Check the [Development] section for updates, changelogs, and upcoming content.

🔹 14. Will multiplayer be supported?

Currently, the mod is designed for single-player only. Multiplayer has not been tested and may cause issues.
